BakatFit Story
At Jasmiza Solutions Sdn Bhd (JSSB), our journey began in 2008 with a clear mission: to help organizations solve problems at the root. For years, we partnered with businesses to conduct Root Cause Analyses and Failure Investigations, consistently uncovering the same hidden barrier—gaps in job-specific competencies, not just flawed processes or outdated systems.
As we supported clients in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and building Performance Management Systems, one insight kept surfacing: performance gaps often stemmed from misaligned or insufficient competencies. Our experience in crafting job descriptions using value chain mapping and SIPOC frameworks revealed another common issue—many employees had never interacted with a competency matrix that genuinely reflected their roles. This disconnect hindered productivity, alignment, and development across all levels.
The task of identifying, verifying, and assessing job competencies was inconsistent and time-consuming—especially when done manually. It became evident that without a structured system for Job Competency Evaluation and Skill Gap Analysis, even the most diligent Training Needs Analyses (TNA) would fall short of bridging real capability gaps.
Management teams increasingly asked for data-driven, holistic insights to guide talent development strategies—but the tools simply weren’t available.
So we built one.


BakatFit To the Rescue
In 2021, with support from the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), we developed CMS 1.0—our first step toward modernizing how organizations approach competency management.
